A little status update is in order.

Basically, my computer is in no shape to process and render video. It’s just not in the goddamned cards. So right now, I’m in the process of backing up everything to DVDs and then I’ll reformat. However sorting 200 some odd gigs will take a while.

Not all is lost. I have a game review coming up soon and some other things planned.

Its already been a week ? Lets see whats up.

Gears of War 2 has hit store shelves, as has Mirror’s Edge. I’ve decided to put off getting Gears 2 for a while and am on the fence with Mirror’s Edge…after all, I might get it later tonight. BUT Wrath of the Lich King hits store shelves in two goddamned days. Which means three things:

I have to get my warrior to 70.                                                                                                                             Prepare yet another fucking hit to my wallet.                                                                                                       Decide if I want to completely lose my life to one game or more than one.

That about wraps that up. As much as I hate WoW, enough of my friends play to make it enjoyable. Wrath better be worth it. So, even as I write this I realize that I’ve already made up my mind. Wrath it is.

And Mirror’s Edge.

THEN The Last Remnant comes out the following week. This holiday season sucks and is awesome at the same time.

My gaming has been plagued by setbacks. Hopefully things will shape up from here on out. I have moved the computer out and am using my 46 inch TV as my monitor. Pretty sick.

Phew. Long time no post. Well, got a new review up so have a read of that.

So here is whats going on.

Mirrors Edge Demo came out sometime this week…just got it and played through it twice. Fun as hell. Its a little odd that they didn’t make use of the A button though.

Fallout 3 launched and has been purchased. I’m currently in my Nth hour with no end in sight. I might have to review this one early.

Dead Space is going along alright. It keeps getting better as I go along so I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Fable II is turning out to be solid. Review of that soon.

November won’t be any nicer to our wallets. Main highlights are Mirror’s Edge, Left 4 Dead, Wrath of the Lich King, The Last Remnant and Gears of War 2, AND I still need to get the special edition of Rock Band 2.

Its getting late so I will throw up some new stuff tomorrow. Peace out.

Sorry about no new posts, but prepare for a flood when I complete these games. I am very close to beating The Force Unleashed and I am pretty damn far in Silent Hill Homecoming. I was tempted to buy Tales of Vesperia but with Fable II around the corner along with the special edition of Rock Band 2, I decided against it. Maybe next month but November is going to rape my wallet as well.

In other news, I got a big screen TV ! Its fucking sick. You have no idea how great gaming on this thing is. Holy shit.

Whats up guys. Long time no update. I got done recording 4 songs and 2 more need to be re recorded. But I have been playing some shit.

WoW – And we start off with me being a hypocrite ! I know what you are thinking too. Your thinking of one of my conditionals for playing this game. Well, its not true. So, whats the reason ? No one plays any other game, and I want to play with some peeps.

Warhammer Online – Review of this soon. There is one person playing this one, but still the more the merrier. Game is really fun, but again no one will play it.

Age of Conan – Best MMO out of the bunch and I quit. Again, no one was playing it and no one ever will.

Silent Hill Homecoming – Made by not Konami but some American company, so far its good. Scary as hell so far. Its lost some of the Silent Hill charm but what do you expect.

Ninja Gaiden II – Its a poetic symphony of death and destruction. Mix in some gibblets and buckets upon buckets of blood you have a festival of death in store.

Lander got the character right. He is indeed Earthworm Jim. I will have new stuff up next week.

Its 5am and I’m up. Oh well.

The Force Unleashed and Rock Band 2 should be out today. Ill pick up both…twice…today. The Force Unleashed didn’t get the best reviews, but I don’t know why that is. A lot of complaints were because of no multiplayer, and if you know me you know my stance on this. I buy games for an awesome single player experience and the multi is a bonus. Its not required.

I was going to wait for the ultimate box set to come out for Rock Band 2. I actually have that reserved. It comes out a month later though. So I think I’m going to buy the game today anyways then buy the box next month. Sounds crazy but I really want to play it. You can always get money. Who cares.

Updates later this week. I’ve been hard at work on my music so this has taken a back seat. Oh well that’s life.

::UPDATE::

Been playing The Force Unleashed and Rock Band 2 all day today. Good shit. Both of them are awesome so far. Rock Band 2 is easy. If you liked the first one, you’ll love this one. Its better. There. Done. No review for Rock Band 2. Get it.

The Force Unleashed, despite having bad reviews, is insanely fun. I’ll just have to wait and see where this goes. It might turn to shit, who knows. I’m guessing not though. So far its awesome.

I did buy Infinite Undiscovery. So far so good. Its pretty fucking chaotic but its fun so far. Review of that when I eventually beat it.

I got in the Warhammer Beta, so I’m going to give that a go. Downloading the client right now. Hopefully this game will be able to run on all machines, so if I do play this stupid game, maybe some of my friends will be able to play =D. That’s right, I’m calling your PCs shitty. I’ll probably give a quick impression later today when its done downloading and updating. Its open beta so no NDA.

Okay all new stuff is up for the front page. I just beat Condemned 2 last night so expect a review of that soon. Gonna see if I can finish this game off on hard. It gets tricky at some parts.

Infinite Undiscovery and Tales of Vesperia should be out now. Checked Best Buy yesterday and they did not have either, so I am going to go there again today. They might have gotten the shipment late. I should be picking up one of those soon.

A new week a new game. Just bought Condemned II. Can’t wait to start it up. Review of the first Condemned soon.

Wow its been that long already ? Sorry guys. Oh well all is well, new post is up. Its not the one I was planning on releasing but this sort of happened spur of the moment.

Anyways, last night I had the most pleasant Halo III experience yet (while alone). Played three or four maps and only won 1 of them, however it was really cool. Played a game with these guys and we partied up the rest of the night. I was the odd man out, so I got stuck on the other team. One match it was just me and this one guy against them. We put up a great fight. I was surprised at how nice everyone was. I used to say I was lucky to find the dudes in Gears that made that game so much better, cause they were all cool. Come to think of it, I have only come across a few dicks here and there. However most of the kids automatically get a dick rating just because they annoy the fuck out of me, so they have some proving to do. Anyways, last night was cool. Halo III is getting better and better. Had a fucking blast with J this week as well. Halo isn’t that bad, but it is far from the greatness that is Call of Duty 4…or The Darkness…or Half Life 2…or Bioshock…or….fuck.

OKAY ! Time for some news. I am actually giving Halo III a chance. So far, I am saddened every time I play it…because I wished I was playing Call of Duty 4. Stupid non split screen. Oh well. Its enjoyable. I can put up with it.

I beat Lost Odyssey and I got Eternal Sonata. Lost Odyssey is awesome. Review for that soon.

I have just 1 shotted two songs on Rock Band: They Say and Wonderwall. Ok so that isn’t a big deal…at all. I mean, if you didn’t do them in one try there is something wrong with you. No no my friend. I was playing guitar and singing. Both on expert. I’m kinda proud of myself =D.

Well anyways, time for some real “site” news. Like I said, I’m working on a bunch of stuff. Like 8 different blogs at once. So, one might not come out too soon. I’ll keep you updated.

Holy shit.

Yeah its been a while. Sorry about that. Its been a pretty goddamned hectic couple of months. A lot of tennis, and unfortunately not a lot of video games. Haven’t gotten anything new either. However I did have a few posts already written up, but didn’t want to post them for some reason. They are going up now for your amusement.

Another reason why I’ve been gone is because of Dungeons and Dragons. Been playing that a ton and its a blast. I will actually do journal entries from my DnD campaign. So you can read how I try to kill my friends ! Yay ! Those will come out periodically. We are actually taking a short break from DnD so I can recoup and flesh out my campaign more. Get it all ready. And now I’m rambling.

Anywho, Lander did indeed get the character right. It is Professor Hojo from Final Fantasy VII. Mad props for getting one. The quote “Shut up ! Sit your ass down in that chair and drink your goddamned TEA ! ” comes from Final Fantasy VII as well, spoken by none other than Cid.

Long time no post. New everything. The quote “I have nothing to sell but I’m shouting nonetheless !” comes from Dreamfall: The Longest Journey spoken by the Spice Seller. The previous character is Seth Balmore from Lost Odyssey. Yes Lander, you were the closest. It was that chick with a dudes name from the game Odyssey something. Bonus points for you for semi remembering.

If you look down at the previous News posting, I said I was going to wait a while to get GTA IV. What I meant to say was that I was going to get it the very next day. So thats been occupying my time. Is it worth all the praise ? Yes and no. There is no way to review this game early. I’ll have to wait a bit for that one.

The same goes for a Mario Kart review. I’ll review that later. However there is a review that I will release in a few days.

I have also ordered a PSP. Can’t wait to get this sucker and all its goodies.

Some new reading material in a few days. Sorry for the long delay. Tennis season is finally over so things are settling down a bit…well until summer that is. But thats still three weeks off.

Happy Easter…if you celebrate it. I guess I should have mentioned I was going to take a small tiny break. Oh well. It was my spring break this last week so I took a break…go figure. What did I do ? Worked and played some games. Yeah. No new post either. Such an eventful update I know. Truth is, I haven’t really gotten any new games or anything. So right now I’m almost done with Lost Odyssey and I’m slowly getting through my fourth playthrough of Mass Effect. Other than that, nothing new. I am kinda working on some older games that I might review but who knows. I need some new games. Unfortunately, one of those new games won’t be new, but on another platform. Why ? I have no idea. Maybe some people keep bugging me to play a certain game on a certain system…and I would hate to betray my loyalty to this other platform that I already have this game on. Okay okay, I’m not loyal to one system or another, I’m loyal to the games. Although playing a game on the PC and then on the console is a downgrade to me. Granted, I can’t play with these certain people, because Xboxers play with other Xboxers and PC peeps play with other PC peeps. Hence my dilemma.

I plan on picking up some older titles like Condemned and Dead Rising. Both of them are cheap so thats no big deal. I will also pick up Super Smash Brothers Brawl sometime in the future. I don’t know why its not high on my list right now. Maybe because its a pain in the ass to get the Wii online ? Possibly ? I don’t feel like plopping down 50 bucks plus an extra 30 for an adapter just so I can have a wired connection. What kind of bullshit is that ? Don’t even get me started with the stupid friend code thing either.

There has been a reason for no updates. I decided to get this one in before I leave later this morning for California. Its 4am. I’m watching the Australian Open finals. Getting this update in on change overs.

Anywho, there will be no updates for a while. For how long I don’t know. On Tuesday, I’ll have double eye surgery. This isn’t a full blown cornea transplant. Basically, disks are going to be placed under my corneas, along with an eye drop treatment. I’ll be blind for some time. I don’t even know what extent the blindness will be…if that makes any sense. I might be able to see shapes…I might be in darkness. Who knows. So all I know is that I will be blind for a while, so no reviews or updates…hell I won’t be able to play any games.

No update today. Sorry. Things came up so I didn’t have time. One was a family scare, the other was Mass Effect. Well, the Mass Effect thing has been going on for a week or so now. Just beat it for the third time. It took me 35 hours and 10 mins (approx.) to beat it this time. I will probably start my next playthrough tonight. I’m aiming at 40 hours this time, depending on circumstances that will pan out during the game. Who knows. Fortunately, I made a handy galaxy chart that says what planet has what so exploration time will but cut down a bit…but not by much. I will be more thorough in my searches, especially with more frequent trips back to the citadel to see if I missed anything. Unfortunately I did not get the super hyper power gamer achievement (I got to level 55 this time around) BUT I did get the scholar one so thats one difficult one off my mind. I have a theory as to why I didn’t get to 60. I think playing as a Paragon might have caused me to miss some exp which you would normally get for massacring people. We’ll see if this theory holds true.

I’ll try to get something up tomorrow but its not looking good. There will definitely be something up next week.

Oh and GameFly sucks. Maybe I will write about that tomorrow.

Happy New Year everyone ! I’m back and ready to write more stuff ! Our annual Christmas LAN is over and my first blog will be about that. Expect that Thursday or Friday. If while writing it I realize there Isn’t much to write about I’ll do a formal review.

Starting next week I’ll be introducing a few new features. The first are “Quickie Reviews.” For Christmas my bro got me a 2 month subscription to Gamefly. I hate renting games. I don’t do it. I just buy them. If I rent a game and like it I buy it anyways so I cut out the middle man and just purchase. I haven’t rented a game in years…not since the N64…or maybe even as far back as the SNES. I am not however a gift waster. So for two months I’ll be getting games that I do NOT want to buy and I’ll be doing quick reviews of them. First one should be up next week or this week if I’m not lazy. These reviews will not be the long diatribes I usually post…just quick ones.

The second feature is a name that character thing. Just like with the weekly quote I’ll throw up a picture of a character. You tell me who that character is and what game he/she is from.

The third new feature is a retro gaming column. Each week I’ll review an old school game. I might do something different with this. Who knows. Expect one next week.

The LAN is going great so far. We have had one colossal spill so far (thanks to me). Sierra Mist Cranberry everywhere. It was awesome. Hopefully I can get off my ass and get some pics of the LAN and post them.

Sorry for lack of updates. Things kinda snowballed on me this past week and this week isn’t looking much better. With finals and a Christmas tree to put up (its already up I just have to put the bulbs on it…yeah I know priorities) its been a bitch. But if I don’t get the post up tonight It’ll be here tomorrow.

I have everything all planned out for Christmas LAN ‘07. I’ll make a formal post here later and tell everyone individually as well.

New quote up. Another obscure one, but hey no one got this famous one so oh well. “You Spoony Bard !” came from Final Fantasy IV, spoken by Tellah.

Mass Effect pretty much has its death grip on me. I seriously cannot put it down. Still don’t understand some of the low scores its getting. Its like reviewers think its their job to shit on genius. First Assassins Creed and now this ? Halo 3 gets 10’s and games like AC and Mass Effect get 8’s ? I don’t really understand it. Maybe they all want to be the bad boys of the gaming review world. “Hey how did you like Mass Effect ?” “Pshhh, I gave that game an 8…” “OMG your such a rebel !”

Last week was busy (Thanksgiving and all) so thats why nothing was posted, but I do have 3 or so reviews lined up and some other special projects I can start to work on so expect a review of something by tomorrow or Wednesday.

I’m not aware of new releases in the coming weeks, and frankly I don’t care. I have so much shit to do right now that I hope there are not any good releases until next year. I don’t think I can handle another game.

Mass Effect hits stores today…my life is over. Lets see what I have on my plate at this moment:

Assassins Creed – I’m near the end but I’m a completionist so I’ll hunt down every goddamned flag there is and do every possible thing

Super Mario Galaxy – Again, completionist, I will get every star

Call of Duty 4 – I have beaten this already, but for these types of games, I always play the game twice then review it.

Clive Barker’s Jericho – I’ve beaten this three times already, but, I still need to unlock a few things. Definitely at the bottom of the to do list.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R – Replaying this. I got the urge to reinstall. I’ll finish it this time.

Guitar Hero III – Practice Practice Practice

Rainbow Six Vegas – Just because I never beat it…got far in Co-op but then my comp died. Just recently put it back on.

F.E.A.R Perseus Mandate – Kinda neglecting this one a tad, but F.E.A.R is amazing

So on top of all that, I’ll have Mass Effect to play.

**UPDATE**

Mass Effect is the digital equivalent to crack. I get it and play it for 3 and a half hours, and decide I should clean a tad then play some more. So I turn it off, and go into the kitchen. I’m a little hungry so I grab a banana and sit down on the couch. I’m watching something, eating my banana, and by the time the banana is gone, I have to play it again. I have to. I throw the peel on the table and grab the controller off the ground and feverishly start it up again. So I tell my self to just play it for a while, but again another hour goes by. I’m lucky I pulled away from it for a shower. I wouldn’t even go to class tonight but I have a math test. I NEED MY FIX !

Super Mario Galaxy and Assassin’s Creed are both awesome. Really, I do not understand some of the low scores Assassin’s Creed got. They might have played a different build…who knows. Anyways, I review both of these when I’m done playing them…which is going to be a while. Both are HUGE games that should not be rushed just to make a review of it. They deserve better than that. I’ll take as long as I want…its just too fun to jump from building to building or collecting stars.

Call of Duty 4 review soon. Look out for that.

Changing the name of the blog. Try to guess which game the quote comes from. “I am Error” came from Zelda 2 for the NES.

Next week Assassins Creed and Super Mario Galaxy hits store shelves. Mario Galaxy releases on Tuesday, and Assassins Creed on Wednesday, although there is some confusion whether they are at stores on Tuesday, or if they ship for stores to sell on Wednesday. I would go on Tuesday just in case. Better safe than your friends laughing at you for not getting these games on launch day.

I have three or so blogs planned, I just have to get around to do them. Check back periodically.
